The A1 motorway (Romanian: Autostrada A1) is a motorway in Romania, with sections still under construction and which is planned to connect Bucharest with the Banat and Crișana regions in the western part of the country. When finished it will be approximately 581 km long and will follow the route: Pitești, Sibiu, Orăștie, Deva, Timișoara, Arad, connecting with Hungary's M43 motorway near Nădlac
