A ski lift is an equipment designed for transporting skiers uphill. Generally ski lifts can be found in ski resorts and skiers will need to pay a fee to use the lift. Usually having a ski pass for the resort will grant access to all lifts in that specific ski area or even ones close by.

- Aerial lifts are designed to transport skiers while they are suspended off the ground. This is achieved in most cases with bicable ropeways. In this case the "bi-" prefix means that the cables have dual function: carrying and pulling.
- Surface lifts
- Cable railways, funiculars
- Helicopters are also used as means of transportation for off-piste skiing.
- Snowcats can be used for transporting skiers into remote and otherwise inaccessible areas - this is called cat skiing
