The Airbus A340 is a long-range wide-body jet airliner built by Airbus Industrie.
The four-engine aircraft can transport up to 375 passengers in the standard version and up to 440 on the stretched A340-600 series. The aircraft range varies between 6700 to 9000 nautical miles (12400 to 17000 km) also depending on the aircraft variant.
