- 18 April 2016 - Tarom announced a new route from Iasi Airport to Istanbul Ataturk International Airport via Cluj Airportsource. The flights will be operated from 1 June 2016 with a frequency of 2 flights per week: Wednesdays and Saturdays departing at 19:25 from Iasi to Istanbul via Cluj (arrival at 22:30) and with return flight from Istanbul to Iasi (via Cluj) departing at 23:15 and arriving at 01:35. The route was cancelled a few weeks later.
