Nuremberg Airport (IATA: NUE, ICAO: EDDN) is an international airport located in the Franconian metropolitan area of Nuremberg. Called Flughafen Nüremberg in German it is the second-busiest airport in Bavaria. During 2014 the airport handled more then 3.3 million passengers making it Germany's 10th biggest airport. The airport is very close to the city being located only at about 5km to the north of Nuremberg's city centre. The airport is named in honor of Albrecht Dürer.
