24 August 2001 - Air Transat Flight 236 was an Air Transat flight operated with an Airbus A330 between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Lisbon Portela Airport. Due to a fuel leak the plane ran out of fuel and the crew had to glide the plane to the Azores where it successfully landed on a military airfield. No casualties were recorded.
